SafeHaul offers an AI‑assisted tool that can add signature fields to scanned PDFs. The tool is meant to speed up turning paper forms into signable electronic documents.

What the AI signer‑field placement feature does

The feature first scans an uploaded PDF for existing form fields and blank lines that look like signature spots. If the AI cannot determine a spot using deterministic rules, it applies vision models to propose a field. Every proposal is clamped to the page dimensions and shown to a human reviewer before it becomes part of the document.

Who can use the feature

The tool is available to recruiters and compliance staff who manage driver hiring paperwork. It is not intended for drivers or fleet managers who are not involved in document preparation.

Steps a carrier should take when using the feature

  • Upload the scanned hiring form to the SafeHaul document envelope.
  • Review each AI‑suggested signer field on the preview screen.
  • Adjust or reject any suggestion that is mis‑aligned or unnecessary.
  • Confirm the final layout and save the sealed document.
  • Store the completed PDF in the driver qualification document storage for audit purposes.

Limitations and open questions

Interpretation: The AI suggestions are not applied automatically; a human must approve each one. SafeHaul does not place fields unattended, does not create signatures, and does not track document expiry or send renewal reminders. Carriers should confirm how the review process fits into their hiring workflow and whether additional manual checks are needed for compliance.

In practice, the feature reduces the time spent manually dragging signature boxes onto scanned forms, but it does not replace the need for a recruiter or compliance officer to verify that the fields are correct and that the final document meets internal policies.
